interesting conversations?

Because there is such an interesting discussion going on over at my LJ, I'm going to link to it from here. As is often the case, the comments are where the meat of the discussion lies, although I have tried to pull out the important thoughts in my two follow-up posts. The discussion is about bad!fic and how or why it gets recommended or reviewed positively. Lots of good thoughts and ideas, including some good theories on why that happens.
